The region’s real estate markets have entered a period of transition and uncertainty as economies open up and the comfort of low rates and low inflation recedes. China’s sudden shift away from zero-COVID at the end of the quarter has prompted hopes of an economic rebound but also concerns that the first quarter may see extensive social and economic disruption as infections rise. For property investors, the region still offers some of the best prospects globally even if it will not be entirely immune to the challenges ahead.

AUSTRALIA
